The Most Wonderful Time Of the Year!!!

This is my first blog EVER. I have the entire day off and decided that maybe it would be a good idea to start one. So here I am. This has been a crazy weekend. Kaden went with his dad last week, and when he got home he developed a fever, and then told me his ears started hurting. So I automatically assumed that he had an ear infection. With my medical background, and the fact that it doesn't take a genius to diagnose an ear infection, I took him into the doctor and sure enough! Poor thing. He is almost 3 and this is the first ear infection he has had.
Kaden is such a good boy. He has had potty training mastered for about the last month. Can I tell you how nice this is? I was starting to get down when it was taking so long to get him potty trained, but now it is so worth it. And they have the cutest boxer briefs for boys!!! Too bad they don't have this cute of underwear for girls huh! The past month has also been a little rough on little Kaden because I have started back at work. I am working at Gymboree part time as one of the sales leads. This position is pretty cool because it is entry level management, so hopefully in a while I will be eligible for a Management position if desired. I never though in a million years that I would be working in Retail, especially since I have a degree in the Medical field. But I need a job ever so badly and there weren't any Tech jobs in the valley. So I had to try something new. And I think this new is goo.
I am so excited for the Holiday season!! Every year gets more and more exiciting as Kaden gets older. He got to visit Santa when my boyfriend was watching him while I worked. I guess he was really excited and told santa that he wanted a Gator Golf game, and I am pretty sure Santa will get it for him. He is understanding Christmas a little bit more. Actually the other night my mom sat Kaden on her lap and told him the story of the virgin Mary and how Jesus was born. Kaden was well behaved and listened for quite some time. We also made Ginger bread houses last night, so that was a lot of fun too. After about an hour of making them I looked over to see Kaden just eating the candy off his house. I had to laugh. I will post the few pictures that I have.
I just wanted to express how grateful I am right now. The last 4 months has been extremely stressful as far as finances go. I was looking for a job for quite some time and wasn't getting hearing anything back. My parents have been so helpful! I would have never made it through those months without them. Now I am extremely grateful to have a job right before the holiday season. I want to ensure that Kaden has a great Christmas. I know its an adjustment for him to spend time in 2 seperate households, so I want to make this as memorable for him as I can!
